| It took 14 innings before the 1st game of the Saturday doubleheader at Parkgate was over and after all that, it was a single unearned run that proved the winner. Both starters went deep into the game, The Twin's Kipnes going 10 innings and the Tritons Stebbe going 9 innings. Both teams threatened throughout the game but had a hard time capitalizing on chances. White Rock was 0 for 10 with runners in scoring position and left 10 on base. The Twins were 1 for 14 with 14 left on base. The bottom of the 14th saw the lead off man Paul Schipizky aboard on a single, he was moved up by a sac bunt from Mitch Rainer and scored on a game winning single to right from George Halim. Jake Bergsma going 2 for 5 was half of White Rocks offense. Twins got a multi hit games from Keaton Briscoe (2 for 6), Ben Armstrong (2 for 4) and Paul Schipizky (2 for 6). |
