The first inning saw a run scored by Twin's outfielder K.P. Hlatky who got on base with a walk and was batted in by a Fielder's Choice, RBI, by the catcher Ben Armstrong. The Royals answered back in the bottom half of the inning with a single by Matt Yochim who scored on an error. In the second inning the Twins were shut out with 3 up and 3 down. The Royals scored their second run of the game with Richard Biggs-Brewer getting on base on an error and later scored when short stop Kevin Biro spanked a double to bring him in. That was all she wrote in the scoring department for the Royals. In the third inning Royal's starting LHP, Aaron Foulds, had trouble finding the zone. After walking the first 4 batters the 5th batter Ben Armstrong stroked a nice double to score 3 runners. Royals relief pitcher, Alex Kerr entered the game and 4 more runs would score before the inning was over. The Twins had another rally in the 5th inning when the DH, Andrew Madsen launched one over the Royals fence. A Grand Slam for Madsen.
Twins Pitching staff are to be commended for their efforts.
