| The Tritons completed the sweep of the Cannons winning the nightcap by a score of 3-1. The game featured a matchup of PBL veteran Alan Rimer (1-0) and Triton’s Lefthander Blake Stewart (1-0). The Triton’s broke out on top with a run on Jake Bergsma’s RBI double in the first inning. White Rock picked up two more in the 3rd as Curtis David and Kyle Enns drove in runs. Stewart, getting his first start of the year, kept the Cannons silent striking out 11 in his 6 2/3 innings of work. Vancouver tried to mount a comeback in the 7th . With a man on first, Cannons third baseman Chris Ross kept the Vancouver hopes up with his third hit of the game. Stewart gave way to Josh Stelting with two on and two out in the 7th. Stelting retired the final batter to earn his 3rd save of the season. |
