| The Twin's Taylor Kipnes and Coquitlam's David Otterman presided over a low scoring affair in the 1st game of the Saturday doubleheader under blue skies. The Twins opened the scoring in the bottom of the 4th, the Reds answered in the top of the 5th and what proved to be the winning run was scored in the bottom of the 6th by Daniel Altoe (aboard on a lead-off walk) off an RBI from KP Hlatky. Twins threatened most of the game but could only manage 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position while stranding 8. Reds left 7 on base. Reds got singles from Watson, Cunningham, Santorelli, Molinari and Berry and a 2 bagger from Brent Foreman. North Shore got hits from Halim, Schipizky, Armstrong, Altoe and Malm and a pair of hits from Andrew Madsen. Hlatky picked up 2 RBIs and Matt Hall came in for the last out to record the save for the Twins. |
