Blue Jay Pinch hitter, Reed Lavallee, started the bottom of the 8th with a double to lead things off. A wild pitch eventually allowed Lavallee to come home from 3rd to score and win the game.
Tagged with the win was Blue Jay Pitcher Matt Tompkins going all eight innings with 2 K's and allowing 5 hits. Mariner pitcher, Cameron Wych, started the game lasted through 6 and 2/3 innings before Stefan de Montmorency came in to be tagged with the loss.
Leading the way for Victoria at the plate was Jeremy Campbell who had a hit and a run and Kelly Norris-Jones who added another hit and 1 RBI. Blue Jay Trevor Hodgins led the way for the Jays as he went 2 for 2 with a walk and sac bunt. |
