Beautiful sunny day to play ball! Mike Monster of the Langley Blaze threw 6 innings with 1 hit, 11 strikeouts and 4 walks. The one hit by the Parksville Royals was by Ryan Riley--a nice hit to left field. He was left stranded when the left fielder Jeremy Filipek made a great throw (7-6-4) to get the lead runner at 2nd base for the 3rd out. The Parksville team had an opportunity in the 6th inning with the bases loaded by walks but the 3rd out was made by Nic Mahovlich at 1st base. The Blaze played a strong offense--Wes Darvill 1B, deep 3B, 2 runs and 2 RBI's; Ryan Stadjuhar 2 singles, 2 RBIs and 1 run; Brooklyn Foster 2 runs, a double and an RBI; Dustin Hayes a double, 1 RBI and 1 Run; Joe Germaine 1B, RBI and 1 Run)
