Administrative Notes

  1. All meetings will be prescheduled
      
    • AGM meetings will be held on the first Saturday in November
      • GMC meeting will be held at 10:00am
      • Coaches will meet at 12:30pm with lunch provided
      • AGM will be held at 3:00pm
      • AGM meeting dates: Nov.6/10; Nov.5/11; Nov.3/12; Nov.2/13
         
    • Coaches meeting will be on the third Saturday in January
      • GMC meeting will be held at 10:00am
      • Coaches will meet at 12:30pm with lunch provided. 
      • Meeting dates for coaches: Jan.15/11; Jan.21/12; Jan.19/13; Jan.18/14
         
  2. League assessment is due at the January meeting for coaches and no later than March 15th
     
  3. Team insurance is through Baseball BC with All Sport

      • General Liability Policy
      • Travel Insurance Policy
      • Accident Claim Form
        • Teams must notify Baseball BC with the following information
          • Additional coverage requirements for the General Liability Policy; this refers to all facilities where teams may work out such as a school gymnasium
          • Travel dates and duration of all trips out of the province prior to departure to receive/ensure travel insurance.
          • Teams are responsible for their travel insurance; cost is $3.00/day for players and coaches.
             
  4. Scholarship information is posted on the website.
       
    • Application form and criteria
      • Application deadline is July 15th
         
  5. Place order of baseballs through Prostock Athletic Supply; teams are to use the PBL official baseball with logo for all league games
     
  6. A copy of the player contract form is posted on the website under team rosters.
     
  7. Code of conduct information for spectators, players, and coaches is posted on the website.
     
  8. Teams are encouraged to stay at the host hotel of the Premier Baseball Association, Coast Hotel and Conference Center, when playing in Langley; special rates will be offered by requesting the BCPBL rate.
     
  9. Teams or players will receive 50% of ad costs for securing an ad for the PBL website; refer potential interested party to the executive director for ad finalization.
     
  10. Final 4 Championship Applications
       
    • Application to host a Final 4 will be requested annually; application deadline will be February 15th.
    • Every third year the Final 4 will be hosted on Vancouver Island.
    • The Premier Baseball Association will cover the following expenses for the Final 4.
      • 10 dozen baseballs
      • Officiating costs
      • Silver and gold medals for the championship gam 
      • League and championship trophies/engraving
