In the Junior Premier Baseball League, Coquitlam Redlegs advanced to the 2009 BCJPBL Final 4 Championship Final after defeating the host Abbotsford Jr Cardinals 2-1. The Redlegs will need to wait until the game between the Jr Cardinals and North Delta Jr Blue Jays tomorrow morning to know who they will play in the final at 1pm. Rain washed out the Saturday game between the Jr Cardinals and Jr Blue Jays.

North Delta Blue Jays were the only team to win their best of three series in the BCPBL Final 8 playdowns on Saturday and advance to the 2009 BCPBL Final 4 Championship next weekend. The other three series will all go to a third and tie breaking game on Sunday, Langley-Nanaimo, White Rock-Fraser Valley and North Shore-Victoria.
