The BC Premier League is pleased to announce the formation of its new summer collegiate baseball league. Commencing this coming summer (2007), 4 teams, three on the lower mainland and one island team, will play a 36-40 game schedule including 24 league games plus exhibition games vs various summer teams in the Northwest. All returning BCPBL and CCBC college players are invited to apply. The talent level in BC has increased so dramatically that it is believed this league could compete with many top summer college leagues.
The BCPBL will administer, subsidize and operate the league, players will apply to the league and we will work with players to assign them to a team nearby, depending on positional needs etc.
- Maximum of 20 players per team. - Players must be college eligible with exemption for three non college players per team. - Players must apply to the league and will be assigned to a team. - Fees will be held at $300 per player. Sponsorship opportunities will be offered to reduce this fee. - All games will be wood bat and 7 innings. - College League rules will apply. - Games will be played Wednesdays at 8:30pm, Saturdays 5 and 8:30pm and the occasional Sunday, thus allowing players to work during the summer. - All Star team to attend the Kamloops money tournament. - League will run from late May to the end of July.
