Tournament Format
The top eight teams in regular season play will participate in the tournament and be seeded 1 thru 8.
The seeding will stand for the duration of the playoffs; e.g. if seed two gets eliminated in the first round the other seeds move up accordingly in order. The seventh seed does not become the second seed.
Round One: (July 24th, 25th)
Unless otherwise mutually agreed the format will be as follows:
a. Winner of best two-of-three advances to BCPBL championship
b. All games will be played at the home park of the higher seed.
c. Games will be a scheduled double header Saturday and single game Sunday or Monday (if necessary)
d. Game one and three – higher seed is home team
e. Game two – lower seed is home team
Round Two: (July 30th, July 31st, August 1st)
Hosted by Coquitlam Reds (Mundy Park)
Round robin format involving remaining four seeds (3 games each)to determine placings. The top two teams will then play in the championship final. Third and fourth play consolation final.
The game sequence in the Round Robin will be based upon the highest through lowest surviving seed as determined by first round playoff matchups.
"A" - highest surviving seed
"B" - 2nd highest surviving seed
"C" - 3rd highest surviving seed
"D" - 4th highest surviving seed
Note: All games to be played at Mundy Park in Coquitlam, located at Hillcrest and Foster, Spani Pool entrance.
The Following Tournament Rules Apply to both Round One and Round Two;
a. Higher seed is always home team
b. Regular BCPBL rules apply in all games
c. There will be no ties in round robin
d. All games to be played to completion.
