The improbable happened...
After defeating the defending league champions Langley Blaze 8-4 in 8 innings on Monday morning, the Twins needed to beat Nanaimo twice. The first Nanaimo-North Shore was very close, 4-3, with the Twins scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning. The championship game had a tired but pumped up Twins team exploded for 7 runs in the 3rd inning to coast to a 10-2 win and become the 2007 BCPBL champions!
Twins' pitcher Derek Sinke (1st team - All-conference) was the star of the final game pitching a complete game six-hitter while going 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBIs. Congratulations to the Twins coaches, players and supporters!
