Abbotsford Cardinals Capture 2025 Langley Blaze Invitational Title

June 15.25 | The Abbotsford Cardinals emerged victorious at the 2025 Langley Blaze Invitational Tournament this weekend, capping off an impressive run with a 2-0 win over the Mid Island Pirates in Sunday’s Championship Game.

Despite finishing second in their pool, the Cardinals powered through a demanding Championship Sunday that saw them play — and win — three high-stakes games. They began the day with a strong 7-2 quarterfinal victory over ATHX, avenging their only loss of the tournament in pool play. In the semifinals, Abbotsford blanked the Victoria Eagles 3-0 to book their place in the final.

In the Championship Game, the Cardinals shutt out the Mid Island Pirates 2-0 to clinch the title who themselves had a great tournament run.

Pool play saw Abbotsford notch convincing wins over the Okotoks Dawgs Red (3-1), Delta Blue Jays (10-2), and North Island Royals (10-0), before narrowly falling to ATHX 4-3 in their final round-robin game.
