The Mid Island Pirates are your 2026 BCPBL Junior Champions!

The Mid Island Pirates saved their best baseball for the biggest stage, winning four consecutive games to capture the 2026 BCPBL Junior Championship with a convincing 6-1 victory over the Langley Blaze on Championship Sunday.

The Pirates entered the double-knockout championship tournament Wednesday and never looked back, putting together a remarkable four-game run that culminated with a championship on CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY.

Mid Island opened the tournament Wednesday with a strong 2-0 victory over the Delta Blue Jays, setting the tone with outstanding pitching and timely baseball.

The Pirates followed that performance Thursday with an offensive explosion, shutting out the Coquitlam Reds 10-0 to move one step closer to the championship game.

Friday brought the biggest test of the tournament to that point, as Mid Island faced the Langley Blaze with a spot in Sunday's championship game on the line. The Pirates came through in a thriller, edging Langley 5-4 to earn their place in the final.

That set up a championship rematch Sunday against the Blaze.

With the BCPBL Junior Championship on the line, Mid Island delivered by securing a 6-1 victory and completing a perfect 4-0 run through the championship tournament.

The championship capped an outstanding tournament for a Mid Island club that combined strong pitching, timely hitting, solid defence and the ability to deliver when the pressure was highest.
